This is a short post. The happy craft has worked for 1 year; it was received last Christmas. However, after it’s 2nd flight at Miraloma park, the drone accidentally accelerated to about 15 mph and 70 feet. The remote suddenly ran out of battery, and the drone was flying without human control over Miraloma park. After one minute of unmanned control, the drone stopped working and dropped, falling 110 feet away from its take off spot. It bounced off the fence and landed in a school nearby.
The damage however, was little. One propellor was broken, and one stabilizer was broken. The camera no longer was moveable through the remote control (you had to move the camera manually before you flew the drone. The drone still flew normally after the impact. The propellor was replaced and the drone stayed in my house since then. A week ago, I took out the drone to fly it again. It flew straight and the controllers worked properly. Two days ago, the drone flew again, but flew sideways. We will troubleshoot the drone and see whh it was t working. Updates in the blog
