Jaylon's birthday film will include eclipse timelapse.

Updated: Oct 15, 2023

Annular Solar Eclipse October 14 San Fransisco
the eclipse at 10:00 with brightness reduced through Blob's Eastern Facing Window.

The CCAG's camera took a few videos of the partial eclipse itself and the weather around it. However, the peak of the eclipse, at 9:16, was unfortunately not captured because Rob was at drum class. But before the eclipse, around 9:00, was captured when the sky turned dark. We aren't including clips of the eclipse here, because there is a film coming out called Sky Nature 2 that captures it.Make sure to like and comment below.

Our Bay-Windows are trapezoid-shaped, giving THREE CLEAR VIEWS of the city.

FYI, this video was shot in my room, with a lot of southern exposure (it's pretty hot). From my room (With a southern and western views), I can see the cities Daly City, San Bruno, San Mateo County, San Bruno Mountains, and Colma easily. You can also see the Tallest Peak in SF, Mount Davidson. My room is used for taking most of the timelapses, with the exception of some taken on the Second Floor Balcony. Unclear where this is? Come to the CCAG to see!

My sister's room (which has an Eastern view) can catch the sunrise (though very unclearly) and cities Oakland, Brisbane, South SF, San Bruno.

However, a large cedar tree that was trimmed back when I was 10 is growing rapidly in front of her room, blocking the southern view her room once had back in 2021. We call this tree Hyperion JR, after the giant towering redwood tree in Northern California. This is why many timelapses are NOT taken here, EXCEPT when the phone is taped towards the Eastern Facing Window. So timelapses are rarely taken here, also because there is no outlet near the window. Her room is basically a phone graveyard (RIP cheap iPods, 9:00AM -12:00PM)

if you want to see where timelapses were taken in my sisters room, the March 2023 film Sky Nature (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FhxIKYBjn5kvNryU1H3Uo7w2K7SIzpwX/view?t=298s) is an excellent example! Clips from 5:36 to 6:29 were taken during a post storm day, with our small iPhone in my sisters room.
