Today is the first week of the Common Mallow blooms at the CCAG's TMAD. We have been waiting 3 months for this exciting event.
Other plants have been seeding too. Here is an annual clover plant which spreads burrs. The burrs grow in to another plant next spring, after they are buried with a fresh coat of soil. These clovers are closely related to peas and peanuts.
After a few weeks, we will be cutting down all remnants of the bloom, as we start to put the TMAD back in it's usual summer states. At that point, all the annual plants will be dead, and the cactus will have new pads.
