What makes the TMAD so hot?

What makes the TMAD so hot? It turns out the direction the greenhouse is facing. When the sun rises in the east, a big tree blocks the sun from hitting the TMAD, and as a result it is cold until the sun comes out of the trees. Since the western and southern facing panels are always in direct contact with the sun between 11 AM and 6 PM, the TMAD acts like a real greenhouse.

But what makes it so hot, hotter than a normal greenhouse with plants? The TMAD's humidity is the key. Since the TMAD is never watered and the door is always closed, it does not have high humidity. If it's foggy, only bits of it enter the TMAD's door, allowing the humidity to increase by only a little bit.

And what plants live in the TMAD? We've been talking so much about TMAD's temp and extremes, we never got to show you the plants that live here. Each plant is native to the Southwestern US, whether it comes from Arizona or Baja California.
