What we hope for 2024

Updated: Nov 12, 2023

Yesterday marks the third anniversary of the CCAG being a conservation group.

Heres what we wish to accomplish in 2024. But before, we'd like to share what our goal was for 2023. Our goal was to make a desert-themed front yard, and perhaps have it enclosed. At the time I was contemplating making a greenhouse over it, because building it would of taken a long time.

the TMAD
The evolution of our front yard. In 2021, when I was in 5th grade, I made a diy pond out of it, and in 2023 there is a desert. Kinda like the book "Dry."

The first thing we would like to accomplish is installing a weather vane that tells us the Team Manatee Arid Desert's weather and predictions. Inside the TMAD, there is a thermometer twice the size of a quarter that shows the current humidity and temp. But what would be better is if the CCAG's weather would show the predictions, and the wind speed. This may be important because we may know when a frost will occur, and help the cacti so they don't freeze.

We would also like to create a dragonfruit purgula. Dragonfruits, a tropical cactus have proved to be resilient in living in SF.

We've been growing beavertail cacti for a month now!
